Should we somehow allude to the fact this is mostly/(entirely?) a Taiwanese Mandarin phrase which exists as a loan word from minnan, and that the 'ging' pronunciation isn't *really* a valid mandarin word seen anywhere else? Food for thought I guess
Diff:
- [ging1] /uptight/to awkwardly force oneself to do sth/(Note: This word has no generally accepted hanzi form. It is typically written as ㄍㄧㄥ.)/
# + [ging1] /(Tw) uptight/(Tw) obstinate/(Tw) to awkwardly force oneself to do sth/(Note: This word has no generally accepted hanzi form. It is typically written as ㄍㄧㄥ.)/
+ □ □ [ging1] /uptight/obstinate/to awkwardly force oneself to do sth/(Taiwanese, POJ pr. [gēng], often written as ㄍㄧㄥ, no generally accepted hanzi form)/
