LA ~ 兩軍對峙。今多指體育運動中兩方比賽。
例 「兩軍對壘」、「他要與昔日好友在決賽中對壘」。

- not simply "face each other" (that could be two lovers)
- "encamped"? Nothing about that in LA, for example, and again, it doesn't suggest confrontation necessarily.
- I'm having trouble finding out whether 'counter-works" is actually a word.

「兩個聯盟的對壘還未開始,到底誰輸誰贏還很難說,」
"The two leagues have not yet faced off against each other, so it is hard to say right now who is winning and who is losing,"
Diff:
- 對壘 对垒 [dui4 lei3] /to face one other/confrontation/encamped face-to-face/counter-works/
+ 對壘 对垒 [dui4 lei3] /to face off against one's adversary (military, sports etc)/
