<< review queue entry 59327 >> You misunderstood. 玉篇 was the name of an ancient Chinese character dictionary, and yes, that is already in CC-CEDICT. However, it can also mean any character dictionary in general, that's why I'm submitting it as a separate entry, since this meaning is not a proper name. Please see the HYDCD entry, the second meaning in particular: 玉篇【漢語大詞典】 1. 字書名。 南朝梁顧野王撰，凡三十卷。 《南史・齊豫章文獻王嶷傳》：「先是太學博士顧野王奉令撰《玉篇》，簡文嫌其書詳略未當，以愷（蕭愷）博學……使更與學士刪改。」 2. 泛指字書。 唐羅隱《昇平公主舊第》詩：「乘鳳仙人降此時，『玉篇』纔罷到文詞。」 金董解元《西廂記諸宮調》卷七：「文章全不會後，『玉篇』都記徹。」 ---------------------------------------- Editor: It's not that he misunderstood. He just didn't find the evidence very compelling. Just now, I Googled "個詞典" and found plenty of usage, such as - 可以把多个词典放入不同分组中 - 两个词典都是商务出版社出版的 But there appears to be zero usage of "個玉篇". Have you come across usage where 玉篇 means 'any character dictionary in general', outside of the HYDCD entry? |
