K says "the actual person". But LA seems to be saying "an actual person" (i.e. a real person) which is something rather different.

On the other hand a J example like the following does suggest "the actual person":
The statue of Jefferson was big as life.
杰斐逊的塑像和真人一样大

Is "in the flesh" one of the meanings? I guess it's intended as a gloss for the "the actual person" sense.
Diff:
- 真人 真人 [zhen1 ren2] /actual person/in the flesh/Daoist spiritual master/
# + 真人 真人 [zhen1 ren2] /a real person/the actual person/Daoist spiritual master/
+ 真人 真人 [zhen1 ren2] /a real person/Daoist spiritual master/
