A priori, this looks a word that should be defined as a verb, and dicts do that.
e.g. K [ v ] ◊ raise the price (of goods) ◊ raise gambling stakes ◊ increase the quota/amount

"mark-up" should be spelled without a hyphen, but I doubt that 加碼 can mean "markup".

"goods" (or "merchandise") is probably better than "commodities".
LA refers to 商品, whereas a commodity can be something like iron ore.
Diff:
- 加碼 加码 [jia1 ma3] /to raise the price of commodities/to raise stakes (in gambling)/to increase a position (e.g. in futures markets)/to encode/mark-up/
# + 加碼 加码 [jia1 ma3] /to raise the price of goods/to raise stakes (in gambling)/to increase a position (e.g. in futures markets)/to encode/
+ 加碼 加码 [jia1 ma3] /to ratchet up/to raise (expectations etc)/to increase (a quota, a position in the market etc)/to up the ante/(computing) to encode/
