small change.
After last discussion, I'm not totally satisfied; encountering this word again, I thought of the word "spread"
If wording seems acceptable, a second gloss can do no harm.

Editor: The definition now gives a very clear idea of the the meaning, I think.
Big improvement on the original "push aside" (which is exactly what K still says -- I guess they copied us).
