"a weight"
That could mean
a. A metallic solid used as a standard of comparison in weighing.
b. An object used to hold something else down.
c. A counterbalance in a machine.
d. Sports A heavy object, such as a dumbbell, lifted for exercise or in athletic competition.

In fact, it seems a 重物 is usually none of these things.
[For example, bathing children and cooking are things women are good at, so his wife does them.]
> Meanwhile, he takes care of moving heavy objects or picking the children up from the babysitter's.

[Both conditions leave patients] unable to lift heavy objects, hang out the laundry, or even hold onto the handles in a subway car.

"Farming is much harder than most people imagine. Whether it's frigid winter or scorching summer, you've got to carry heavy loads, spread fertilizer and weed.

Lifting heavy objects, standing too long during a lecture, climbing stairs, or taking an extended walk [will leave him seriously short of breath.]oxygen brought on by shortness of breath in turn causes his heart to accelerate.

If it can be one or more of those things (a, b, c, d above) we should probably specify which ones they are.
But there were no such examples in TP at least.

X has sth quite different ~

K however, agrees with me ~ "heavy thing(s) (like luggage, etc.)"
And so does Z ~

J ~ I noticed that the heavier objects went down more quickly than the smaller, lighter ones.
[Unit 7 The Sea Lesson]
Diff:
