Z and A say "trouble", not "in trouble".
Any examples of that sense?

LA says
- 形容物質黏稠。
例 「這湯看起來糊糊的」。
- 不清楚;不明白。
例 「電腦螢幕糊糊的」。
- (陸) 某些地區指用玉米麵或麵粉等攪拌熬成的黏稠食品。
例 「早上喝玉米糊糊,不到半晌就餓了」。
(i.e. no "trouble")

J has things like
Something thick, soft, and pulpy.
软糊糊的东西黏稠的、软的并且浆状的东西
(no "trouble" there either)
Diff:
- 糊糊 糊糊 [hu2 hu5] /thick congee/porridge/fig. in trouble/
+ 糊糊 糊糊 [hu2 hu5] /viscous/gooey/sticky/indistinct/thick congee/porridge/
