If your 性格 are compatible, you get along well together; but your 性格 do not get along well. 2nd sense it's the same sense but transitive use Dicts seem to say "cater", and maybe that's not too bad. But: (Z example)多大的作家，也不能说都能投合每个人的口味。they cannot meet everybody's taste, maybe "cater" is inappropriate here. Maybe not. 这想法很投合他的心意 this fits well with his mood, doesn't cater couldn't really find sth about /to go to sb for help or protection/ |
