We already have 一元, for example, as in
J ~ The monadic Boolean operation the result of which has the Boolean value opposite to that of the operand.
同NOT operation。

============================

Also, it looks like 变元 also means "argument; variable" in math and computer programming.
See L J GT. Let's add that too?

Web ~

  Function
  {
  Return 表達式;
  }

https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_talk:Conversiontable/zh-hant

------------------------------------------------

Hmm ... if we define 元 as variable, then 常元 ("constant variable") doesn't make much sense.
Maybe "value" or "quantity" would make sense as a gloss for 元?
/(math.) argument/variable/value/ ?
