I don't understand the present definition, but it doesn't seem appropriate to the the usage I have seen.

"Chinese localization"
Is that a computing term?

"to convert sth into Chinese"
That sounds like translation.

Can we check these two glosses. Are they any good?

-------------------------------------------
LA ~ 其他民族的風俗習慣受到漢族文化的影響,逐漸演變為與漢族相同。
如:「北魏孝文帝推行漢化政策,對當時北方民族與漢民族的相互融合有很大的貢獻。」

Example: LA @ 平埔族
臺灣原住民族的一族。包括噶瑪蘭族、凱達加蘭族、雷朗族、道卡斯族、巴則海族、巴布拉族、貓霧捒族、邵族、荷安耶族、西拉雅族等族群。膚色淡褐,黑髮,屬澳斯特羅尼西亞語系民族。漢化很深,多已和漢人混合同化,其中僅邵族、噶瑪蘭族為目前官方認可的原住民族群。
Diff:
- 漢化 汉化 [Han4 hua4] /Chinese localization/to convert sth into Chinese/
# + 漢化 汉化 [Han4 hua4] /(of an indigenous tribe etc) to be assimilated into the Han ethnic group/Chinese localization/to convert sth into Chinese/
+ 漢化 汉化 [Han4 hua4] /to sinicize/sinicization/(software) Chinese localization/
