Issues
a) 平埔族 refers to the tribes of aborigines originally residing in the plains of Taiwan. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it seems to me that it's not "an ethnic group", but rather a *geographic* grouping of at least eight ethnic groups (tribes).

b) I believe that in "plain tribes", "plain" should be plural -- "plains tribes".
Wp calls them "plains aborigines", for example, and in North America there are the Plains Indians, for example.

I will probably add more points later.
