<< review queue entry 56215 - submitted by 'ycandau' >> Z 1. 妾的自称 2. 古时仕宦之女对人的谦称。 a lot in historical dramas and books. People's Daily says it's incorrect; based on the reasoning that the appellation seems illogical to him, he strictly forbids and earnestly entreats the ladies of the past to not use that word. However, the guy seems to think also that 隻要 is a refined spelling of 只要, a common delusion amongst jianti users. Baidu faithfully copies his "arguments" (or is it the reverse? no "history" tab on B), and then gives several examples of historical uses in exactly that sense. |
