Wp, however, says it means "stupid", which is not the same thing. 腦殘為罵人用語，常見於「網路」與「次文化」之中，意為愚笨。 Also, "shithead" is a noun, and I think 脑残 is basically an adjective. (Otherwise, we could add "a retard".) "brain-dead" has a common non-derogatory meaning so I think a better gloss could be found. (There are plenty of alternatives -- just Google "brain-dead thesaurus".)
