F.i. the the Egyptian vulture (percnoptere) is called 埃及秃鹫 Editor: of course it's just a case of the name of a local, single species being later used more generally. Happens in English too. But we have to indicate that this a general appellation. I am still dubious about (Chinese bird species). The percnoptere doesn't even live in China. |
