It seems to have a different meaning in the following cases: LA ~ 失去主宰的意識，精神恍惚。 形容心神不定；或因心煩意亂而精神迷茫。 也作「失魂落魄」、「失魂喪魄」、「失神落魄」。 例 「車禍發生後，他因驚嚇過度而喪魂落魄」、「失戀的痛苦，總是讓人喪魂落魄」。 TP ~ "in a daze"? (seems to match LA pretty well -- "driven to distraction" sounds like "frantic") 急著搭上運輸機離開，很多人赤著腳，一身污泥，手裡只拿一個小包包，有些人失魂落魄地亂轉，找尋親人。 Crowds of refugees rushed to get on cargo planes. Many of them were barefoot and covered in mud, carrying only one small bag. Some wandered in a daze looking for their loved ones. 整天失魂落魄 but were beside themselves with grief.
