You could say "to be on the throne" but "to reign" covers that.
- 享國之日淺
- 享國得四百三十一年
- 高宗享国日久
- 享国至一百六十年

Dicts say it means "the number of years of a sovereign's reign" but it seems to me that "to reign" better fits the examples above.
Diff:
- 享國 享国 [xiang3 guo2] /to reign/on the throne/
+ 享國 享国 [xiang3 guo2] /to reign/
