def is a little ambiguous - e.g. "a country's current account is one of the two components of its balance of payments"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Current_account

K says "current (account)" but it seems that that is called "checking (account)" in the US:

DEFINITION of 'Checking Account'
A transactional deposit account held at a financial institution that allows for withdrawals and deposits. Money held in a checking account is very liquid, and can be withdrawn using checks, automated cash machines and electronic debits, among other methods.
A checking account differs from other bank accounts in that it often allows for numerous withdrawals and unlimited deposits, whereas savings accounts sometimes limit both.

which seems to match LA's def of 活期:

demand deposit (noun) a deposit of money that can be withdrawn without prior notice, e.g. in a current account.
