<< review queue entry 53392 - submitted by 'vermillon' >> Where would you guys think is the best place to add the paper format meaning of 开? 16开 is roughly A4 : the 开-format expressed as 2^(number of folds) of the 全开 (which would be 2^0=1开), which is roughly A0 while the A-format is the number of folds. So 32开=A5, 8开=A3 etc. 开 also seems to be used for (gold only?) carats. Editor: taking care of what has been suggested. The 开 system is in fact the same as the Western one, but the reference page (variable of course), it seems, is usually bigger. There are other additions possible, see discussion. |
