I expect there are thousands of these in the Bible. There's not much point just doing a handful of them, and we have neither the motivation nor the resources to deal with a comprehensive list of them. Another editor wrote: "to whom is it supposed to be of use? English speakers who read the Bible in Chinese? They can check the English version. Chinese speakers who read the Bible? They don't care what it's called in English. They are both fringe communities." I'm also deleting a number of other submissions along similar lines. e.g. 拉玛 /Ramah (biblical place)/ (拉玛 is a transliteration of Rama, Ramah, Lama, Lamar etc.) |
