LA says （以梳理、修剪、燙染等方式）使頭髮美觀。 A has "to have one's hair done" and K has "(of men) get a haircut; (of women) go to the hairdresser's" and NC has "give a beauty treatment to hair" but I didn't really find much evidence for use as a verb. Mostly, it seems to be an attributive or noun, and "hairdressing" seems to work well. I did find 布莱尼多久没有"美发"了? (I think that's a reference to Britney Spears) Any other examples out there?
