鹟 just means "(passerine) bird that catches and eats insects in flight" (i.e. a flycatcher).
XHC describes their general appearance "身體小,..." then adds 捕食飞虫.

There are flycatchers in various different bird families. 鶲 doesn't refer to any single family, though it seems most belong to Muscicapidae.
e.g.
1) 棕腹藍仙鶲 Niltava vivida; vivid niltava

2) 黑枕王鶲 Hypothymis azurea; black-naped monarch
(family = Monarchidae)
