Moreover, "touch down" means "to land". It's an instantaneous verb, not a durative verb. An aircraft can *descend* slowly, but not *touch down* slowly. "decline" is also from Z, but it's supported only by one quote from a novel. It doesn't seem to be mentioned in other dictionaries. Anyway, it would be understandable in context from a definition like "float down" |
