Encarta @ "divide up" ~ to divide into several parts 2) "get one's share" seems a bit off (it's more about making sure one doesn't get left out, and not caring whether others get their share or not) 3) I see moedict.tw is now asking "找不到。分享這些字？" when you enter a compound that's not in the dictionary. And they don't mean "share this new word with us" or anything like that. They mean "Do you want us to split the word into individual hanzi and give definitions for each one?" That doesn't seem like standard usage of 分享? 4) Other dicts K ~ 分享 fēnxiǎng [ v ] ◊ share (sth enjoyable) O ~ share (joy, rights, etc.); have a share in; partake of A ~ share (joy/rights/etc.); partake of NC ~ to share in; to partake of M ~ 共同享受 N ~ 和他人共同享受 5) I changed "privileges" to "food" to indicate that it's not necessarily abstract things that are shared: 这两个队分享了3,250美元的门票费。 与朋友分享炒面。 分享蛋糕 Editor: I'd like to just say "to share" but I don't think it can be "share (the blame)", for example. |
