Comment: for now i'll capitalize both, tho i'm not 100%
the book on py says that 老 needs ti be capitalized in front of last names (e.g. Lao Wang 老王), tho it doesn't state anything about the above examples.

+ 老墨 老墨 [Lao3 Mo4] /(coll.) a Mexican/
= 老美 老美 [Lao3 Mei3] /(coll.) an American/person from the United States/
