<< review queue entry 50427 - submitted by 'ycandau' >> N:annoyed and ashamed I tried to find smth better. Not sure. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Editor: From what I can tell, "resentful" can be good. It's used in J, for example. But I think something like "humiliated and angry" can be useful in some contexts, even though it's clunky. In addition to the usual sources, I found the following on the Web: 1. Two emissary come up to get of the other side mock, be ashamed angry, answer: "OK of course! "OK of course! ! 2. Montparnasse rose, but the goodman held him fast. Montparnasse's attitude was the humiliated and furious attitude of the wolf who has been caught by a sheep. 3. Nothing is more maddening than when people are promoted because of their ability to network rather than being promoted strictly on merit.
