(真)拿你没办法 seems to be a common phrase (esp. in TW?) and is usually used as a way of giving in to the other party's nagging etc (say, a mom giving in to her kid's nagging for cookies, saying to him "真拿你没办法" and then giving him cookies). it's a bit hard to translate it, so any help would be welcome. 喜歡你所以拿你沒辦法 好吧你赢了肯德基还真拿你没办法 天府早报，别以为法律真拿你没办法！ 又到节日来临时：爱情啊，我们拿你没办法 ~ J examples: and you can't do anything about it, right? 而你却拿它没办法，对吧？ You try to talk some sense to our son. I've come to the end of my tether with him. 你设法开导开导我们的儿子吧。我可是拿他没办法了。 ~ some other examples: When she loses her temper, there's nothing you can do about it. 当她发脾气时，你简直拿她没办法。 Wife:(Bites his hand) There's nothing you can do about that today darling. It's the New Year. 妻子：（咬他的手一口）亲爱的，你今天也拿我没办法，现在是新年。 here's another example i found in a dictionary definition of the proverb 不怕凶，只怕穷: "谓凶的人还可以想法对付，对精穷者要钱没有，你便拿他没法。" ================== Editor: there are various forms of this phrase and I'm sure there are other possible translations, but I'll go with this for now. |
