in-app purchases are not restricted to gaming, for example Pleco (I'm sure you heard of this amazing software for Chinese learners, right?) offers its premium dictionaries and features via IAPs, as do many other apps

also, could be a good idea to shift the meanings around. 9 out of 10 first Google results for 内购 are about IAPs

Editor: Yeah, that's a good way of putting it. :-) Personally, I thought it might be better to write "one's company" rather than "your company" but, on reflection, there *is* something to be said for "your company", actually.

I appreciate that you're trying to be helpful, but I wouldn't want to encourage what you're doing here – second-guessing a freshly minted definition that has no serious defect. So I'm not going to adopt your wording.

As for myself, I certainly wasn't going to submit for "one's company", even though I thought "your company" was a bit odd at first. As they say, "leave well enough alone".

Thanks for the information about IAPs. Of course non-game apps have in-app purchase, but anyone who reads the def should have no problems getting the idea.

Yes, I have indeed heard of Pleco. After all, Pleco is a major distributor of CC-CEDICT! :-) By the way, you sound like you're spruiking the app ("amazing software", "premium dictionaries"). You're not Mike Love himself, are you? :-)

Other editors have urged me to get Pleco myself, but I have premium dictionaries coming out of my ears already. What would I do with even more premium dictionaries?

Your argument about Google results suggests that you aren't aware that the Google algorithm skews the results for a search term in favor of tech and media senses of the term – rather than other senses of the term. For example, there is no mention of fruit among the first 10 Google results for "apple". They all relate to the tech company. And just the other day, a submitter suggested we delete the saying 三個女人一個墟, simply on the basis that the top Google results indicated that 三個女人一個墟 is the name of a TV program – and that guy was a native speaker, even!

Note to other eds – I left a couple of extra comments before processing.
