Chinesisch-deutsches Wörterbuch 華德詞典 (Werner Rüdenberg 1963) Hamburg: Cram, de Gruyter & Co. 1963, p. 335, right column, 3rd entry from bottom Editor: The editor who wrote the current definition took into account this definition of 比捕: 谓限期捉拿在逃人犯，违期受责罚 (including that last bit) I think his idea was that if a time limit is set for the arrest of a criminal, then it is clearly the police who are given this time limit, and there must be some consequence for the police if the they fail to make the arrest within the time limit (otherwise what's the point of the time limit?) In other words, "hold policeman responsible" is implicit in the current definition. |
