I think I know who you are ;-) If "档 is a common typo", then why does 白度百科 have articles titled P档 and N档, and why does MoE define 檔 as 汽車變速器的俗稱。如：「排檔」、「換檔」。? "this is also why this was submitted as dang3"? I don't think so. The submitter wrote "hear it on tw tv" (referring to P檔), and 檔 is pronounced [dang3] in Taiwan. "P挡/N挡 still get way more G hits"?
