Comment: | the book on py says: "Titles of 2 syllables are generally written as a single unit: 诗经 Shijing, 楚辞 Chuci,论语 Lunyu,春秋 Chunqiu,史记 Shiji,汉书 Hanshu. Titles which are clearly verb-object constructions in form, however, are written as 2 units, as: 说唐 Shuo Tang (Speaking of the Tang Dynasty), 征东 Zheng Dong (Journey to the East). Titles of 3 syllables are most commonly of the form 2+1, where 2 is a specific name and 1 represents a genre of writing--- Ji 记 (story, record), Zhuan 传 (historical novel), Lu 录 (record), Ge 歌 (song), Lun 论 (essay), etc.: 西游记 Xiyou Ji, 水浒传 Shuihu Zhuan, etc." |
