You're proposing a different definition to a current entry: 丌 丌 [ji1] /"pedestal" component in Chinese characters/ That entry seems fine to me as it is. Wenlin says "Picture of a base or pedestal." M says 底座，用以托物的器具。 Other sources also support "pedestal". Even your own source Wiktionary says 底座，用以托物的器具。 ----> http://zh.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E4%B8%8C So "table" seems to be a mistake. Yes, it's a source. That doesn't mean it's correct. 2) 丌 is a character component. As noted previously, we are primarily interested in words and expressions rather than character components. 3) We don't include Cantonese readings. 4) We are fairly sparing in cross-referencing. We don't point to synonyms, antonyms, similar characters etc. 5) Giving orders like "Read it" is a fairly efficient way of alienating yourself from fellow CC-CEDICT community members. 6) If you keep submitting suggestions that are not in keeping with CC-CEDICT's style, your future submissions may be deleted without comment. |
