Most of the plants that one waters are flowering, but it's the plants that one waters rather than the flowers.
Does one stop using the word 浇花 after the plants finish flowering when describing watering those plants?

My illustrated dict says "water the plants"
M ~ 用水澆灌花卉。如:「他提了一桶水到花園澆花。」

J ~
Just before leaving for work I water my plants.
我在临上班前浇花。

Don't neglect to water the plants.
不要忘记浇花。

In my spare time, I like watering flowers.
在业余时间我喜欢浇花。
(Is he really just watering the plants that are in flower?)
Diff:
- 澆花 浇花 [jiao1 hua1] /to water flowers/
+ 澆花 浇花 [jiao1 hua1] /to water the plants/to water the garden/
