<< review queue entry 46241 - submitted by 'xiaoxiong' >> This meaning is TW specific (e.g. see MoE). The word means the state Georgia on the mainland. G@乔治亚州: 1,300,000 hits Editor: I checked several simplified & traditional Chinese sites and seem to agree that 喬治亞 is the Tw spelling for both the US state and the country. Wp also says: "中文譯名方面,臺灣官方以英語音譯喬治亞,大陸官方則以俄語音譯格魯吉亞(Gélǔjíyà)" , while Georgia (US state) is 佐治亚.
