present def un-enligthening (to me).
"secondary examination" seems to be used in English for medical exams, but
otherwise only Indian for academic sense?
Usual sources have reexamination, final examination; J: to re-test seems also a
possible sense.

Editor: following Richard's suggestion. Also changing 復 to 複, since it gives me 6 times as many verb. results on G.
Diff:
- 復試 复试 [fu4 shi4] /secondary examination/
# + 復試 复试 [fu4 shi4] /secondary examination/
+ 複試 复试 [fu4 shi4] /to sit for the second round of a two-stage exam/
