"manage", if it was indeed intended for that same sense, is completely astray. you know the sense I'm looking for, "régler son compte" 我心想，等过一会儿看我不收拾你。 "wait and see if I don't give you your comeuppance." it would be silly to equate that with "I'm going to punish you" Editor: I think these are good expressions. Which reminds me of the 修理 entry which also means "to sort sb out/to fix sb". I believe it is better to phrase it that way instead of "to punish", so I'll change that as well while I'm at it. |
