Editor: The main problem with this entry is *not* that it doesn't exist as an expression in the Chinese language. I can find meaningful examples of its use, such as 最近公私交迫，拍的機會少了，以下有些貼的都是前年的照片了。 and there are more examples in the comments on the reviewing queue. No, the main problem is that the definition is completely wrong. It used to be "have difficulties in both public and private spheres" (in line with A, of course, and A's definition seems pretty accurate) but it was revived as something completely different, "combined public and private interests are a powerful force", without any evidence or discussion. It's not very good for a dictionary's credibility to have sigh-worthy entries like that! |
