However, this conflicts with what the wife (a Taiwanese professor) of the submitter of 焢肉 entry said. See change log entry 39145. Editor: quite a complex entry. Wp says: "炕肉飯（台灣坊間寫為焢肉飯、爌肉飯）為台灣小吃之一” and a GI search confirms the use of all three: 炕肉飯, 焢肉飯 and 爌肉飯 in the streets of Tw. I had a discussion with a professor from Tw and apparently these are again some of those characters where dictionaries say one thing, but they are really pronounced differently "in the streets", i.e. kong4 in this case. So first of all, I added a (Tw) tag to our existing entry (焢肉), since it's a Tw-specific pronunciation. Then I'm also adding 爌肉 and 爌 [kong4], as well the actual meanings of the 爌 character as seen in 汉语大字典 (although I'm not really sure it's worth adding so many entries of the same character): [huang3] 同「晄」（晃），明亮。 [kuang3] 火光。灯火。 [kuang4] 汉语大字典：同“曠”。 MoE Variant Dict: 同「曠」。明亮。 炾 「爌炾」：寬闊明亮。 |
