The Wikipedia article title is "Screensaver" but the spelling "screen saver" is used a number of times within the article. Webster says it's "screen saver", and you'll find both spellings on Microsoft's website. According to various references, the man (John Socha) who coined the term and created the first one called it "screen saver". I prefer "screensaver" myself and my sense is that it's more common. |
