maybe it's just me. I had some difficulty reading the present def, "exceeding the norm" didn't seem to be a bad thing.

Editor: "exceeding the norm" can be a either a good thing or a bad thing

bad ~

good ~
"MedBen Claims Accuracy Exceeds The Norm"
"the productivity exceeds the norm by 2.5 %"
"This award is for performance which far exceeds the norm"
Diff:
- 超標 超标 [chao1 biao1] /to exceed the norm/to be over the limit/
+ 超標 超标 [chao1 biao1] /to cross the limit/to be over the accepted norm/excessive/
