the 鄙 in this particular word seems to be pronounced with a falling tone over there, Dr.eye confirms this
================
Editor:
Dr.eye gives bǐ for eleven 鄙 compounds and bì for only two -- 卑鄙 and 鄙人.
FE gives bǐ as the pr. for *all* compounds in the 鄙 section, and in particular, for 卑鄙 and 鄙人.
M gives bǐ as the "primary" pr. for *all* compounds containing 鄙, and in particular, for 卑鄙 and 鄙人.

This doesn't convince me that "this particular word seems to be pronounced with a falling tone over there".
Rather, it makes me take Dr.eye's bì in those two words less seriously.

It seems clear that bǐ is perfectly acceptable in Taiwan, and is most likely the usual pr. for all words containing 鄙.
In this light, it would give the wrong impression to say in this entry simply "the Tw pr. is [bei1 bi4]".

Yes -- Tw sources give bì as a *secondary* pr., but:
- We aren't attempting to give exhaustive information on pronunciation, esp. when it's restricted to Taiwan.
- We don't try to add everything we learn about Chinese to the dictionary.
Diff:
# - 卑鄙 卑鄙 [bei1 bi3] /base/mean/contemptible/despicable/
# + 卑鄙 卑鄙 [bei1 bi3] /base/mean/contemptible/despicable/Taiwan pr. [bei1 bi4]/
