<< review queue entry 42994 - submitted by 'richwarm' >> It's not very clear what the term "cultural camp" is supposed to mean. I think 文化圈 is pretty much a construct, but if we define it, I'd say it's sth like "sphere of cultural influence". I came across it in Wp ~ In areal linguistics, Sinosphere (simplified Chinese: 汉字文化圈; traditional Chinese: 漢字文化圏; pinyin: Hànzì Wénhuà Quān; literally "Chinese character culture circle") refers to a grouping of countries and regions that are currently inhabited with a majority of Chinese population or were historically under Chinese cultural influence. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinosphere The matching Chinese article says 漢字文化圈,又稱(大)中華文化圈、東亞文化圈、儒家文化圈,為文化圈的概念之一。 |
