"To flaunt one's wealth" is what you find in Collins; well, Collins is wrong. First, 露 contains no notion of "flaunt" and, if anything, is much more often in accord with "inadvertently". Second, just google 不小心露富. Plenty of examples. 搬家-- 不小心“露富”丢了万元首饰！ ...警方调查后发现，当日李先生的妻子汪女士在搬家时遗落一只耳环，被搬家工程某捡到。程某将耳环归还时，不小心看到汪女士将耳环装进一个首饰盒内... she certainly was not flaunting her wealth |
