uses U+29d5a rather than 土 for both trad and simp, and this seems to be the most common in Taiwan. Certainly the Taiwanese TV programme we were just watching used U+29d5a. (My wife, a Taiwan native, insists that only U+29d5a is correct.)

I'm not sure what our policy is on characters like this, that rely on Unicode extensions as not everyone will be able to display them.

I'll bet your wife would insist on U+29d5a, that 魚 radical is so attractive; but I'll not easily believe that being a native makes her an expert on the "correct" spelling of fish names.:-)
MoE has 土魠魚 (for rare chars, MoE usually has an image, so that is not the problem here)
