<< review queue entry 42621 - submitted by 'alanwatson' >> Wikipedia http://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-tw/%E9%A9%AC%E9%B2%9B%E9%B1%BC uses U+29d5a rather than 土 for both trad and simp, and this seems to be the most common in Taiwan. Certainly the Taiwanese TV programme we were just watching used U+29d5a. (My wife, a Taiwan native, insists that only U+29d5a is correct.) I'm not sure what our policy is on characters like this, that rely on Unicode extensions as not everyone will be able to display them. Editor: such characters are not supported. I'll bet your wife would insist on U+29d5a, that 魚 radical is so attractive; but I'll not easily believe that being a native makes her an expert on the "correct" spelling of fish names.:-) MoE has 土魠魚 (for rare chars, MoE usually has an image, so that is not the problem here) |
