I think "that will do" is a mystifying definition in most contexts -- see J

e.g.
1) We shall set out immediately once the matter is settled.
事谐之后, 即可动身。
"can then leave" or "can leave forthwith" is more understandable than "that will do leave"!

2) "and that will suffice"
You may skip and read only those passages which concern you.
你只需选那些与你有关的段落读一下即可。
Diff:
- 即可 即可 [ji2 ke3] /that will do/
+ 即可 即可 [ji2 ke3] /equivalent to 就可以/can then (do sth)/can immediately (do sth)/(do sth) and that will suffice/
