Others have been there before. PRC and ROC dicts heartily disagree with the pronunciations and uses of 扎,紮. So some discrepancies are inevitable. Some thirty years ago there was a big uproar in Tw because the subject for Chinese essay in the high school final exam was : 往下紮根. Newspapers wrote indignant papers about it. You were maybe not born at the time; otherwise you could have made them see the errors of their ways. |
