Interestingly, M's *example* is contradictory with its def: it's unlikely that the Customs are selling at fixed price, otherwise why indicate it? It's likely that "at fixed price" is either wrong, or an obsolete sense that lives on in dicts but was submerged by the newer sense: since Z gives no example, I would remove it for the moment. The sense of "selling by tender" seems to be the one in the few first G pages. Native also says spontaneously that it's the only sense, and that it's really "tender", different from "auction" |
