To my mind, adding "to" could give the impression that 到手软 is a verb. The rule about "to" in front of verbs only applies if the Chinese headword is a verb. "(do a manual task)" is only intended as a contextual aid, not as part of the meaning of 到手软. Discussed it with Matic before reverting. |
