The above English definition was found using Soothill & Hodous' entry of the 鬘 word in their "A Dictionary of Chinese Buddhist Terms"

Editor: "chaplet" here is ambiguous, especially with your reference to Buddhism; one could think that it is "rosary", while in fact it is "garland"
