Editor: Well, of course 外在超越 means "outer transcendence"! After all, it's 外在 + 超越. But "outer transcendence" isn't a very enlightening definition, is it? (no pun intended) How many people could tell you, off the cuff, and without context, what is meant by "outer transcendence"? On the other hand, the specific meaning would be pretty obvious when it's read in context (in Chinese), assuming you're not reading beyond your level. There would typically be some sort of explanation within the text. E.g. 傳統儒家體證的道流行於世間，是一種「內在的超越」的形態，基督教崇信的上帝創造世界，不在世界之內，是一種「外在的超越」的形態。 In other words, - *out* of context, the submitted definition is not very helpful, and - *in* context, the meaning of the Chinese term is obvious and a definition is hardly needed. If we keep it at all, we need a more useful definition, and if you were a registered contributor, I would ask you to provide one. You haven't explained it clearly in your comment. But you're submitting anonymously, which means *we* have to do the work of investigating, even though it seems that you would be more knowledgeable in this area.
